Recently, the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Overseas Innovation Center officially launched at Tianhe Industrial Park in Shandong Linyi Yihe New District. This marks the first overseas innovation center established in northern China by Amazon, the world's second-largest company by market value, based on cloud technology. It signifies a deep integration between Linyi's manufacturing industry and global digital trade resources.
The successful establishment of AWS serves as strong validation of Yihe New District's investment attraction achievements and represents a microcosm of the region's efforts to seize digital economy opportunities and cultivate new industrial growth points.
Linyi is home to numerous hardware, ceramics, and daily necessities manufacturing companies with strong export demand. With keen insight into market opportunities, Yihe New District has proactively engaged with cutting-edge industries with a more open stance, driving Linyi's rapid rise in the cross-border e-commerce sector. Multiple cross-border e-commerce platforms including Alibaba AliExpress and Russia's Wildberries have "landed" in the area, injecting continuous new vitality into the new district's economy.
Since the beginning of this year, Yihe New District's investment attraction "magnetic field" has continued to exert strong influence, with projects arriving in succession and industries accelerating clustering. The district has introduced 89 industrial projects throughout the year.
