Cruise and airline stocks collectively advanced in early Monday trading. Norwegian Cruise Line and Carnival each surged more than 6%. United Airlines, American Airlines, and Royal Caribbean Cruises all gained over 4%, while Delta Air Lines and Alaska Air Group rose more than 3%. The positive momentum coincided with a sharp decline in international crude oil prices. Brent crude futures plummeted over 8% to $96.98 per barrel, and WTI crude futures plunged more than 9% to $89.20. In related news, a social media post claimed that the U.S. and Iran had held "very good and productive" discussions over the past two days, resulting in a "5-day delay" of strikes on Iranian power stations. Iranian officials, however, have denied any communication with the United States.
