Gold and Silver Prices Decline in Late New York Trading

During Tuesday's (February 24) late New York session, spot gold fell by 1.49% to $5,149.92 per ounce. The decline began before 09:00 Beijing time, after trading mostly stable around $5,160 for most of the day. COMEX gold futures dropped by 1.12% to $5,166.90 per ounce. Spot silver decreased by 1.12% to $87.2078 per ounce. In contrast, COMEX silver futures rose by 0.57% to $87.695 per ounce. COMEX copper futures increased by 2.05% to $5.9610 per pound. Spot platinum gained 1.00%, while spot palladium advanced by 2.32%.
