On November 7, 2025, the Beijing Chaoyang Gaming and Esports Innovation Expo was successfully held at the Weibo IN Esports Complex. The event unveiled the "Eight Major Projects and Support Policies for Promoting High-Quality Development of the Gaming and Esports Industry in Chaoyang District." Additionally, the inauguration ceremony of the "Beijing Chaoyang Gaming and Esports Industry Development Alliance" took place, and the "2025 Honor of Kings 10th Anniversary Carnival City Party Beijing Station" was launched, establishing a collaborative platform for industry synergy and showcasing Chaoyang's achievements in gaming and esports development.

As a core area for national cultural center construction and a key hub for Beijing's cultural and digital industries, Chaoyang District has built a comprehensive industrial ecosystem covering game R&D, esports operations, live broadcasting platforms, and distribution channels. Leading brands in the industry have gathered here, with the 2025 Honor of Kings KPL Grand Finals at the Bird's Nest further igniting regional cultural consumption.

A representative from the National Cultural and Creative Experimental Zone Management Committee highlighted that Chaoyang is leveraging the experimental zone to optimize the development environment and integrate industrial resources, aiming to create a nationally leading gaming and esports cluster. The district focuses on original IP development, with companies like Perfect World and Touch Technology thriving in its digital publishing and gaming parks. Innovations such as XR and AIGC are being applied to game design, enhancing the industry's competitive edge.

The Weibo IN Esports Complex, a renovated venue from the 2008 Olympics, has become a cultural landmark along the Liangma River. With a 1,500-seat main arena and advanced facilities, it hosts major events like the 2025 KPL Spring Season, attracting millions of visitors annually. The 2024 KPL Grand Finals at Beijing Workers' Stadium generated over 200 million yuan in cultural consumption, with the 2025 event at the Bird's Nest expected to draw 60,000 attendees.

Chaoyang has also established a "policy + alliance + finance" support system to foster industry growth. The newly released "Implementation Plan for High-Quality Development of Gaming and Esports in Chaoyang" outlines 18 measures and eight projects to enhance the industrial chain and promote international competitiveness. By 2030, Chaoyang aims to become a global hub for gaming and esports innovation.

The Honor of Kings 10th Anniversary Carnival in Chaoyang Park featured immersive activities, including live broadcasts of the KPL Finals and interactive experiences, reinforcing the district's "esports + culture" model. The newly formed Beijing Chaoyang Gaming and Esports Industry Development Alliance will further integrate resources and drive cross-sector collaboration, solidifying Chaoyang's role as a leader in digital cultural industries.
