At the UBTECH ROBOTICS 2026 Global Launch Event, the company's founder and CEO, Zhou Jian, addressed the recruitment initiative offering 1.24 billion yuan for a Chief Scientist.

Zhou Jian stated directly that there are no restrictions on age or academic qualifications. The sole requirement is one thing—a burning passion in the heart, a willingness to strive for the seemingly impossible, and a desire to join their platform to collectively push humanity's progress forward.

"Working at a genuinely innovative company isn't like a sci-fi movie every day. There are often numerous conflicts, contradictions, and frustrations. Daily arguments and blame are common here, with people complaining and criticizing each other, pointing out what wasn't done well. It's tedious, but suddenly one day you realize that the science fiction has arrived," Zhou Jian remarked candidly.

He pointed out that the process of developing robots is actually very painful and anxiety-inducing, but there are also moments of excitement and thrill when you feel that sci-fi moment arriving, and the results often exceed expectations.
