The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently released the "Public Notice on 2025 Outstanding Intelligent Factory Projects," showcasing a list of 274 selected companies for outstanding intelligent factory projects in 2025. This initiative marks further advancement of intelligent manufacturing in China and provides new momentum and direction for the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry. Among this list representing the nation's leading standards, Hunan Province secured 8 companies, with Changsha claiming 4 positions.

**Authoritative Rankings Outline Changsha's Manufacturing Matrix**

To accelerate the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of manufacturing, and create an "upgraded version" of intelligent manufacturing, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Finance, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, State Administration for Market Regulation, and National Data Administration jointly launched the 2025 Intelligent Factory Gradient Cultivation Initiative. According to the "Intelligent Factory Gradient Cultivation Element Conditions (2025 Edition)," cultivation is conducted across four levels: Basic, Advanced, Outstanding, and Leading intelligent factories.

The "Outstanding Intelligent Factory" requirements include: promoting leading enterprises to deepen digital transformation and networked collaboration, exploring intelligent upgrades, systematically deploying intelligent manufacturing equipment, industrial software and systems for typical intelligent manufacturing scenarios, achieving integrated data flow and analytical applications across design, production and operations, intelligent control of manufacturing equipment, online optimization of production processes, comprehensive optimization throughout product lifecycle and supply chain, and promoting multi-scenario system-level intelligent applications.

Specifically, Changsha's four listed companies span electronic manufacturing, power equipment, food processing, and engineering machinery sectors, demonstrating Changsha's diversified intelligent manufacturing layout. They are:

- LENS Technology Co., Ltd.'s "Intelligent Terminal Display Components Full-Business Lean Collaborative Intelligent Factory" - Weisheng Information Technology Co., Ltd.'s "Full-Process Intelligent Control Power Terminal Equipment Intelligent Factory" - Yanjinpu Food Co., Ltd.'s "Highly Integrated Industrial Chain Resources Chinese Snack Intelligent Factory" - China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd.'s "High-End Underground Engineering Equipment Flexible Intelligent Factory"

Notably, LENS Technology was previously selected for the first batch of outstanding intelligent factory lists and has been listed again, demonstrating the company's continuous investment and iterative capabilities in digital transformation.

**Technology Innovation Drives Manufacturing Upgrades**

Behind these listed companies lies extensive technological innovation support. In China Railway Construction Heavy Industry's welding workshop, six-axis robots flexibly wield welding torches, precisely "embroidering" fine and uniform welds on heavy shield tunneling machine components. "Traditional welding robots have strict precision requirements for workpiece tooling and insufficient flexibility," explains Pu Yingzhao, a technician at the Intelligent Process Research Institute. "Through extensive experiments, we built a comprehensive welding process knowledge base for all product categories, utilizing high-precision sensors for real-time positioning, endowing robots with 'adaptive' capabilities for automatic weld seam positioning, error identification and compensation."

The welding parameter collection system Pu Yingzhao helped build achieves intelligent diagnosis of welding processes through real-time monitoring of welding parameters and equipment status, shifting quality control toward "process prevention." With deep application of intelligent systems in cutting and welding "dual lines," not only has cutting precision, welding efficiency and quality stability improved significantly, but information barriers between processes have been broken, driving core processes from "experience-dominated" to fully "data-driven."

Additionally, LENS Technology deeply integrates cloud computing, industrial big data, artificial intelligence with advanced manufacturing technologies, focusing on five major areas including factory construction, R&D design, and production operations, creating 14 scenario applications and building a comprehensive product lifecycle collaborative optimization operation system. This achieves data interconnection and sharing, precise control of key production processes, and business model innovation, significantly improving key indicators such as equipment connectivity rates and production efficiency.

On Weisheng Information's intelligent production lines, over 80 process flows including automatic chip programming, SMT mounting, and PCBA aging operate under intelligent equipment support, achieving 96% single-phase automation coverage and 93% three-phase automation coverage. Compared to pre-renovation levels, production efficiency improved by 50%.

These intelligent factories not only enhance production efficiency but also represent core competitive advantages for enterprises. For example, Yanjinpu Food adopts an experimental factory innovation R&D model, strictly controlling quality through intelligent automation, deeply exploring supply chains to build full industrial chain advantages, connecting all channels, implementing multi-brand strategies for different categories, and fully developing casual snack category incubators. Over the years, the company's R&D investment has grown steadily, establishing 3 provincial-level technology center innovation platforms, maintaining a "laboratory + factory" innovation R&D mechanism, 200+ R&D and quality control professional technical talents, and 100+ patents, ensuring consistently leading product quality.

In recent years, Changsha has consistently pursued industrial intelligence and digital transformation, promoting the leap from "Changsha Manufacturing" to "Changsha Intelligent Manufacturing." Data shows that in 2024, Changsha's intelligent transformation achieved significant results, cultivating 124 intelligent manufacturing enterprises, 311 intelligent manufacturing production lines (workshops), and 1,587 intelligent workstations.

It can be anticipated that leveraging this batch of outstanding intelligent factories, Changsha will further form intelligent manufacturing cluster effects across multiple fields, enhance regional manufacturing core competitiveness, and contribute more "Changsha models" to high-quality manufacturing development.
