An embodied artificial intelligence industry collaboration and matchmaking event, titled "Intelligence Empowering Guangxi, Industry and Finance Advancing Together," was held in Nanning on March 1. Organized by the Department of Science and Technology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the event brought together over 20 high-quality companies from the embodied AI sector, including several listed firms, facilitated by Shenzhen Fortune Capital Venture Investment Management Co., Ltd. The gathering aimed to explore a new collaborative industrial model described as "R&D in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou + Integration in Guangxi + Application in ASEAN," supporting Guangxi's goal of establishing itself as a leading hub for embodied AI targeting the ASEAN market.
During the event, participants conducted a field inspection of the Guangxi-ASEAN Embodied AI Pilot Training Ground. They gained insights into the progress of Guangxi's AI industry, its cutting-edge technological achievements, and its innovative ecosystem. As Guangxi's first regional-level pilot platform for embodied AI, the training ground has established a comprehensive pilot training system. It is equipped with multiple sets of intelligent robots and full supporting infrastructure, focusing on standardized data collection, customized data processing, standardized dataset development, specialized pilot training, precise supply-demand matching, integrated industry-specific robotic solutions, and full-cycle, scenario-based innovation incubation services.
In promotional sessions, cities including Nanning, Liuzhou, and Guilin, along with relevant Guangxi units, presented their advantages in the AI industry investment environment and cooperative development. Shenzhen Fortune Capital shared new perspectives on promoting industrial implementation through deepened fund cooperation under current conditions. Nine companies, including Asia Vets, sequentially presented their latest advancements in robotics and intelligent sensing, AI algorithms, and industry-specific solutions, effectively building a bridge for local Guangxi enterprises to grasp industry trends, connect with high-end resources, and expand cooperation opportunities.
Subsequently, the participants engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges covering topics such as technology application scenarios, local industrial chain support, pathways for capital cooperation, and expansion into the ASEAN market. This event represents another practical step by Guangxi to strengthen industrial collaboration, guide market-oriented investment and financing, and promote the deep integration of "AI+" application scenarios. To solidify the industry's foundation, the Guangxi Department of Science and Technology had previously spearheaded the establishment of key scientific and technological innovation platforms, such as the Guangxi Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and the Guangxi-ASEAN Embodied AI Pilot Training Ground, providing substantial support for the development of the embodied AI sector.
Currently, the Guangxi Department of Science and Technology is leveraging the region's resource strengths as a "Nonferrous Metals Hub" and its established industrial base in sectors like new energy vehicles and engineering equipment. Efforts are underway to accelerate the development of a supply system for raw materials, core components, and integrated systems for the embodied AI industry, promoting coordinated development across the entire industrial chain.
Moving forward, the Guangxi Department of Science and Technology plans to further consolidate resources. It will organize leading domestic embodied AI robotics companies to form joint research consortia with local enterprises. These consortia will focus on concentrated scientific and technological攻关 for core components such as intelligent sensors, dexterous hands, and joint modules. The aim is to continuously strengthen the foundational capabilities of Guangxi's embodied AI industry and drive its high-quality development oriented towards the ASEAN market.
