Central Garden & Pet's stock plummeted 5.27% during intraday trading on Thursday, following the release of its fiscal first-quarter results.
The company reported adjusted earnings of $0.21 per share, unchanged from a year earlier and above analyst expectations of $0.14. However, revenue for the quarter fell to $617.4 million from $656.4 million a year ago and missed estimates of $627.7 million. For fiscal 2026, the company maintained its adjusted earnings outlook of $2.70 per share or better, which is below the $2.81 analysts expect.
