DP World has suspended operations at Jebel Ali Port. Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) announced it will halt all new bookings globally for cargo destined for the Middle East until further notice.

According to a customer advisory, operations across all terminals at Jebel Ali Port have been temporarily suspended as a precautionary measure.

Jebel Ali Port is the largest container port in the Middle East and a central hub for Dubai’s trade economy.

Earlier, the Dubai Government Media Office stated on X that a fire broke out at one of the port’s berths due to falling debris from an air defense interception. In a post issued early Sunday, it was noted that civil defense teams were working to extinguish the blaze.

MSC stated on its official website that the company will continue to closely monitor the situation and cooperate with relevant authorities to ensure operational safety. The statement added that once the security situation improves, bookings for the Middle East will resume immediately.
