PetroChina (857) Announces Appointment of Senior Vice President and Proposed Election of Executive Director

PetroChina Company Limited (857) has announced the Board’s resolution to appoint Mr. Song Dayong as a senior vice president. His term of office will align with the current session of the Board.

The Board also proposes to elect and appoint Mr. Song as an executive director candidate, subject to approval by shareholders at the 2025 extraordinary general meeting. If approved, his directorship will commence on the date of shareholder approval and continue until the end of the ninth session of the Board.

Mr. Song, aged 52, currently serves as a deputy general manager of China National Petroleum Corporation. He holds an in-service master’s degree and is a professor-level senior engineer with extensive experience in the petroleum industry. Past roles include senior positions at Harbin Petrochemical Branch and Fushun Petrochemical Branch, as well as serving as general manager of the Production and Operation Management Department (Smart Operation Center).

Emoluments for Mr. Song will be determined by the Board based on his responsibilities, performance, and prevailing market conditions. A circular detailing the proposed election and appointment of Mr. Song will be made available to shareholders in due course.
