Meta Platforms, Inc., led by Mark Zuckerberg, has officially announced a $600 billion investment in the United States. Initially, Zuckerberg discussed the investment commitment during a White House dinner in September, stating the scale "might be, I don’t know, at least $600 billion." Later, during a period of close relations with former U.S. President Donald Trump, Zuckerberg remarked, "I’m not sure how much you want."

In a recent blog post, Meta clarified that the funds will be allocated over the period leading up to 2028 to "support artificial intelligence (AI) technology, infrastructure, and workforce expansion."
