On August 19, the 2026 Haval Dragon PHEV under Great Wall Motor Company Limited's Haval brand was officially launched. Positioned as a compact SUV, it offers 6 models with a price range of 173,800-208,800 yuan. With limited-time trade-in discounts, prices start as low as 153,800-188,800 yuan, accompanied by seven exclusive benefits.

As the pioneer of the new energy square box category, Haval Dragon achieved 10 consecutive months of sales growth in 2024. In the first half of 2025, Haval Dragon PHEV maintained its position as the champion in both new energy square box and pan-off-road SUV categories.

The newly launched 2026 model features comprehensive upgrades across four dimensions: styling, powertrain, range, and assisted driving systems.

The new vehicle maintains the classic "square box" design while optimizing detailed elements. The front face adopts the same mortise-and-tenon square headlight assembly as the gasoline version, paired with a dot-matrix grille design. The arch-shaped crystal rear lights echo the front mortise-and-tenon square lights. The rear badge has been changed from "HAVAL" to "GWM."

In terms of powertrain, the 2026 Haval Dragon debuts with a 1.5T high-efficiency engine. Compared to the current model's engine, maximum power has been reduced from 123kW to 115kW. Combined with the second-generation Hi4 intelligent hybrid all-wheel-drive system featuring P2+P4 motors, the rear axle drive motor delivers maximum power of 150kW. The system's combined output reaches 330kW with comprehensive torque of 750N·m, achieving 0-100km/h acceleration in just 5.9 seconds. This performance rivals traditional 3.0T gasoline engines.

The Hi4 dual-motor all-wheel-drive architecture achieves a perfect 50:50 axle load ratio, ensuring "more uniform tire pressure, stronger grip, reduced lateral roll at high speeds, and more stable vehicle posture." Whether for daily urban/highway driving or challenging off-road conditions including snow, mud, and sand, the 2026 Dragon PHEV handles all scenarios with ease.

For range capability, the vehicle introduces a new 35.43kWh ternary lithium battery pack, providing CLTC pure electric range of 200 kilometers (WLTC pure electric range of 151 kilometers) and comprehensive range exceeding 1,000 kilometers. It also offers 18.74kWh and 27.54kWh battery pack options, with CLTC pure electric ranges of 102 kilometers and 145 kilometers respectively (WLTC pure electric ranges of 81 kilometers and 115 kilometers respectively).

To achieve "more economical, more powerful, and safer" objectives, Haval Dragon PHEV implements 23 technical upgrades across fuel, electric energy technology, algorithms, and hardware. It adds a high-speed intelligent disconnection mechanism to reduce highway fuel consumption, combined with intelligent hybrid "dual fuel-electric reduction" control strategy for significantly lower energy consumption.

Regarding intelligent assisted driving, the 2026 Haval Dragon is equipped with a TDA4VH chip providing 32TOPS computing power and 22 sensing hardware devices. It features the Coffee Pilot Plus assisted driving system, supporting full-domain highway NOA and full-scenario parking. Additional capabilities include cross-level memory parking, remote parking, and trajectory reverse functions, delivering more convenient and safer driving experiences for users.
