On September 12th afternoon, the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) opened on September 10th at Beijing's Shougang Park, showcasing numerous new technologies and achievements. JD Technology's JD Cashier made its appearance at this year's CIFTIS, presenting its latest generation AI cashier weighing scale and fresh food-specific cashier solutions, capable of achieving millisecond-level weight recognition to address pain points such as queuing during peak hours, low efficiency, and poor customer experience in community fresh food stores.
According to the introduction, in terms of intelligence, JD Cashier's AI scale is equipped with an AI intelligent recognition system paired with a 2-megapixel wide dynamic camera, enabling the scale to conduct rapid "learning" through quick preview functions, thereby improving recognition accuracy.
Regarding merchant usability, JD Cashier's AI weighing scale allows merchants to create products through voice commands via a mobile app function - simply speaking the product name and unit price, and the system will automatically recognize the voice input and create the product. The system also automatically assigns images to products, providing more intuitive visual confirmation during checkout. If product prices change, adjustments can be made directly during the cashier process or through the mobile app. JD Cashier's scale supports pre-packaged weighing and price tag printing, and can also connect with existing barcode scales in stores, allowing merchants to use barcode scales for price tag printing. Currently, JD Cashier's scale supports connections with over a dozen models from mainstream barcode scale brands.
For fresh food scenarios, JD Cashier's scale offers multiple practical functions, including support for temporary product sales, temporary product weighing, pound/kg unit conversion, and customizable sorting for hot-selling products.
Additionally, in terms of energy efficiency, JD Cashier's AI weighing scale utilizes advanced Android systems and processing chips with intelligent dynamic performance adjustment, resulting in low power consumption. With 24-hour continuous operation, daily power consumption averages only 0.5 kWh, achieving over 36% energy savings compared to traditional cashier machines.
