September 8th - According to foreign media reports, Apple Inc. released invitations on its official website two weeks ago, announcing their autumn new product launch event will begin at 10 AM Pacific Time on September 9th, which is 1 AM Beijing Time on September 10th. The iPhone 17 series smartphones and other new products will make their debut at this event.
Regarding the iPhone 17 series smartphones that Apple will launch early Wednesday morning, foreign media have repeatedly mentioned in previous reports that memory will be upgraded, with RAM increasing from the previous generation's 8GB to 12GB. The Pro series will also start with 256GB storage capacity, while in the previous generation, only the iPhone 16 Pro Max started at 256GB, with the other three models still starting at 128GB.
However, for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max storage capacity, foreign media in their latest reports indicate that besides starting at 256GB, there will also be a maximum 2TB option available.
In Apple's iPhone 16 series launched last September, both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max had a maximum storage capacity of 1TB.
While it's still uncertain whether the iPhone 17 Pro series maximum storage capacity will reach 2TB, if Apple offers it, the price won't be low. In the current iPhone 16 series, the 1TB Pro model is priced at $1,499, while the 1TB Pro Max is priced at $1,599. Both models cost $200 more than their 512GB versions and $400 more than their 256GB versions. The 512GB versions of these two models also cost $200 more than the 256GB versions, meaning when storage capacity doubles, the price increases by $200. If a 2TB version doubles the storage capacity compared to the 1TB version, the price might also increase by $200.
