At the UBTECH ROBOTICS 2026 global product launch event, the company's founder and CEO, Zhou Jian, presented a vision for the future of human-AI interaction. He stated that the ongoing evolution of the robotics industry will fundamentally transform how we interact with artificial intelligence, with robots poised to replace smartphones as the most critical interactive terminal for AI.

Zhou Jian elaborated on this shift, noting that past devices like mobile phones, PCs, and computers relied on keyboards, mice, or touchscreens for interaction between human hands and machines. However, with the advent of humanoid robots and advanced robotics, this paradigm will change. He suggested that individuals will simply need to use natural language to communicate their needs to a robot, which will then provide solutions and even offer emotional companionship.

He highlighted the transition from the passive interaction characteristic of phones and PCs to a more proactive form of engagement. The primary mode of interaction will evolve from using our hands to using our voices to speak natural language. This fundamental change in interaction methodology is expected to firmly establish robots as the central terminal gateway within future households.

Zhou Jian further explained that this terminal gateway will possess a highly precise understanding of its human users. It will know their preferred sports stars, their favorite foods, and will proactively recommend various services. He described this transformation as epoch-making, concluding that AI is being primed for robotics, and he believes the future ecosystem surrounding robots will far surpass that of today's smartphones.
