On August 24, Trip.com Group co-founder and Chairman Liang Jianchang announced on social media that Trip.com Group's immersive restaurant "TASTE OF CHINA" has officially opened for global diners. The restaurant is located on the basement level of The Bund Old City Hall in Shanghai.
Liang Jianchang stated that visitors can experience all seven major Chinese cuisines at the venue, describing it as "not just dining, but a magical journey through China."
Customer reviews highlighted the unique experience, with one diner commenting: "In the time of one meal, you can follow the panda mascot 'Cheng Baobao' to travel across China's vast territory and discover authentic Chinese culinary culture. The menu is designed like a passport - this is exactly the kind of creative touch Trip.com excels at!"
According to restaurant listings, the establishment offers various service packages including 148 yuan for individual costume rental, 378 yuan for premium costume and makeup styling packages, and 478 yuan for 30-minute professional photography sessions. Food options include 388 yuan children's lunch/dinner sets, 398 yuan beverage packages, and lunch/dinner packages ranging from 688 yuan to 988 yuan per person.
