On November 5, KE Holdings Inc. (BEKE) released a "Serious Illness Guide" to its 500,000 service providers on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of the Green Plan and the 8th month of implementation of the Health Home Shell Guardian Fund, integrating the four-tier protection jointly formed by the Green Plan and the Health Home Shell Guardian Fund into one place.

The guide clearly presents the applicable scope, application conditions, and application entry points for the four-tier protection, allowing service providers to judge the applicable scope according to their own circumstances. The four-tier protections do not conflict with each other and can be applied for cumulatively.

On the same day, the two major protection projects each updated their progress: the Green Plan revised its charter, adjusting details such as the exemption threshold and pre-existing conditions to further enhance service providers' protection rights; the Health Home Shell Guardian Fund announced its latest distribution status. As of October 31, it had cumulatively distributed 13.54 million yuan to 304 service providers, of which 187 were also Green Plan members, and 54 had received the "Guardian Fund + Green" cumulative protection, with a total of 6.897 million yuan received.

It is understood that the Green Plan and the Health Home Shell Guardian Fund complement each other: the former has a broader protection scope, covering illnesses and accidents of the service provider themselves, their spouse, children, parents, and parents-in-law; the latter has a more focused protection scope, specifically addressing the urgent and difficult situations after a serious illness diagnosis. From the application data, thyroid cancer and breast cancer rank at the top in both projects.

The Green Plan is a service provider protection project launched by KE Holdings in 2008, formerly known as the Lianjia Group Mutual Aid Fund. In January 2021, with the continuous injection of donated funds from executives and senior employees, the cumulative maximum assistance amount was increased from 200,000 yuan to 2 million yuan. As of October 31, the Green Plan had cumulatively accepted 64,730 applications and distributed nearly 880 million yuan. Among this, apart from member contributions, the cumulative funding gap of 124,453,291.03 yuan was supplemented by KE Holdings Group, KE Holdings, and Lianjia executives and senior employees.

The Health Home Shell Guardian Fund was established by KE Holdings co-founders Peng Yongdong and Shan Yigang with a combined donation of 19 million shares in April 2025 and February 2026. The protection target of this project is the service provider themselves, requiring no separate enrollment or payment, and automatically taking effect after 6 months of employment, benefiting more than 500,000 residential industry service providers. The project has three sub-projects: for sudden serious illness diagnosis with complete documentation, a 20,000 yuan emergency life protection fund can be applied for and received within 2 working days; for complete loss of labor capacity or death, a one-time 100,000 yuan family warmth assistance fund can be obtained; for family warmth assistance fund beneficiaries with children, child education funds ranging from 20,000 to 100,000 yuan can be obtained according to the children's school-age stage.
