CHINA SOUTH AIR (01055) surged over 5% again, with shares up 4.54% to HKD 5.53 at the time of writing, recording a turnover of HKD 126 million. The company reported its Q3 2025 results, showing revenue of RMB 137.7 billion for the first three quarters, up 2.2% year-on-year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 2.307 billion, a 17.4% increase. In Q3 alone, revenue reached RMB 51.4 billion, rising 3.0% YoY, while net profit grew 20.3% to RMB 3.84 billion.
Cinda Securities noted that during the peak summer travel season in Q3, the airline effectively managed declines in passenger yield and seat revenue, with high load factors driving strong performance. Early Q4 saw robust travel demand during the National Day holiday, with noticeable fare improvements in October. Both business and leisure travel are expected to rebound significantly year-on-year, supporting seat revenue recovery.
With lower oil prices and a stronger RMB exchange rate, CHINA SOUTH AIR is poised to turn profitable for the full year, with analysts optimistic about future earnings growth potential.
