AAC TECH (02018) recently released its 2025 interim results report in Singapore, with the group achieving record-high revenue of RMB 13.32 billion in the first half, representing an 18.4% year-on-year increase. Among this, the automotive acoustics business generated revenue of RMB 1.74 billion, up 14.2% year-on-year, with a gross margin of 23.9%.
According to official information from AAC TECH, the company secured a flagship SUV project for Zeekr 9X in the first half, featuring an audio system with 32 speakers, 40-channel amplifiers, and software tuning to create an ultra-luxury automotive acoustics experience. Previous media reports indicated that the speakers for Xiaomi's YU7 series smart cockpit were jointly developed by Xiaomi and AAC TECH, with AAC TECH serving as the exclusive supplier for the entire series.
Additionally, products from AAC TECH and its subsidiary PSS are also applied in other new energy vehicle brands such as XPeng, AITO, and Li Auto, as well as traditional automakers and international luxury brands.
In recent years, AAC TECH has actively extended its system integration capabilities from the smartphone sector to the automotive field, continuously improving its automotive business layout through acquisitions to establish automotive as the company's second growth curve. Following the completion of the PSS acquisition in 2024, AAC TECH announced the acquisition of Hebei Chuguang Automotive Parts Co., Ltd. in the first half of this year. Chuguang's main product portfolio covers intelligent microphones, E-call microphones, and RNC sensors. Among these, the new generation digital microphones hold over 55% market share in the domestic market and exceed 26% globally. The company supplies to multiple global automakers, with products widely used in new energy vehicles and models with high levels of intelligence.
AAC TECH's layout in the automotive sector is not limited to automotive acoustics. At the upcoming Munich Motor Show in September, AAC TECH will showcase alongside PSS, Chuguang Automotive, and Pioneer Hi-Tech, displaying full-stack automotive acoustics systems, automotive haptic feedback systems, and automotive optical imaging systems.
AAC TECH's management revealed that through acquisitions, the company has rapidly entered tier-one supplier relationships with leading OEMs in Europe, America, and China's new energy vehicle sector. PSS has secured favorable project awards from overseas customers, particularly mainstream European clients, with both revenue and gross margins expected to achieve stable growth.
Automotive acoustics business revenue now accounts for over 13% of the entire group's revenue. In the future, the automotive business will expand from components to branded system products, with potential to become a diversified solution provider integrating acoustics, optics, and electronics.
