Shares of Willis Lease Finance Corp. (NASDAQ: WLFC) plummeted 6.20% on November 4th, following the release of the company's third quarter 2024 earnings report. This decline came despite Willis Lease reporting robust year-over-year growth in both earnings and revenue for the quarter.

For the three months ended September 30th, Willis Lease posted earnings per share of $3.37, up a staggering 58.22% from $2.13 per share in the same period last year. The aircraft leasing company's total revenue also saw a significant increase, rising 38.28% year-over-year to $146.2 million from $105.75 million.

The strong Q3 performance prompted Willis Lease to maintain its quarterly dividend of $0.25 per share, payable on November 21st to shareholders of record as of November 12th. However, investors appeared to react negatively to the earnings report overall, sending WLFC shares sharply lower on the day.
