Chaowei Power’s 2025 ESG Report Shows Stronger Governance, Lower Emissions and Expanded Rural Philanthropy

Chaowei Power (00951) has released its 2025 Environmental, Social & Governance report, detailing stepped-up risk controls, tighter supply-chain oversight and a deepening commitment to rural revitalisation.

Governance and Integrity • A three-tier ESG structure led by the board completed 51 internal audit projects during the year with a 92 % rectification rate. • Anti-corruption efforts included eight integrity workshops and 154.5 training hours, while the “Integrity Chaowei” digital platform logged 16,762 views. No corruption or ethics violations were recorded.

Product Quality and Customer Service • Core subsidiary Chaowei Power Group retained ISO 9001 certification and won “National Quality Inspection Stable Qualified Product” and other national awards. • Product complaints totalled 2,001 with a 95 % closure rate. Customer satisfaction reached 95.6, up 0.9 points year on year. The WeChat repair platform processed 3,046 work orders with a 99.6 % one-hour completion rate.

Supply Chain and Innovation • Chaowei managed 135 active suppliers—78 % located in Eastern China—and applied a three-tier raw-material control model. Core and strategic suppliers achieved a 100 % integrity-agreement signing rate. • R&D spending produced advances in lead-carbon storage systems and sodium-ion battery materials, while the power-supply unit gained ISO 56005 Level 4 certification for innovation and IP management.

Environmental Performance • Total Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse-gas emissions were 1.37 million tCO₂-e; comprehensive energy use reached 288,986.66 tce. • Over 60 % of lead feedstock came from recycled sources, and 20,419.09 t of packaging material were consumed. • Hazardous and non-hazardous waste amounted to 81,230.38 t and 1,689.32 t respectively; water use was 5.13 million t. • All major sites hold ISO 14001 certification; two plants are completing certification reviews.

Human Capital • The Group employed 13,585 people with an average monthly turnover of 2.90 %. Women held 5.88 % of senior management posts. • Training investment reached RMB 5.40 million, delivering 371,947 hours of instruction, or 28.4 hours per employee. • No work-related fatalities were reported for 2023-2025; 6,540 work-days were lost to injuries in 2025. All main units are certified to ISO 45001/ISO 18000.

Community Investment • Total charitable donations were RMB 6.93 million, including RMB 4.56 million earmarked for rural-revitalisation projects. • Signature programmes such as the “Glorious Scholarships” and the “Battery Doctor Volunteer Service Team” continued, while staff contributed 346 volunteer hours across 131 participants.

Looking ahead to 2026, Chaowei plans to embed “energy for good” across its operations, expand digital and low-carbon initiatives and continue linking innovation with rural and community development.
