Century Sunshine (509) Announces Auction of 64 Trademarks Related to Shandong Companies

Oct 28

Century Sunshine Group Holdings Limited (HKEX: 509) has announced that creditors of two non-wholly owned subsidiaries, Shandong Hongri Chemical Joint Stock Company Limited and Shandong Hongri Fertilisers Sales Company Limited, have applied to the People’s Court of Luozhuang District in Linyi City for an auction of 64 registered trademarks on 31 October 2025. The total reserve price is RMB42.925 million, with proceeds primarily earmarked for repaying outstanding debts.

The company previously experienced cross-defaults and payment defaults that triggered legal actions in mainland China. Some of these proceedings have resulted in court rulings enabling freezing, seizure, and auction of pledged assets. Proceeds from any successful auctions would be allocated first to debt repayment, ultimately lowering overall group liabilities.

The relevant Shandong subsidiary has ceased operating and demolished factory buildings pursuant to a local government initiative. The trademarks, however, are licensed to other group subsidiaries until 30 April 2039. If no interested buyers come forward, the scheduled auction may end unsuccessfully.

Trading in the shares of Century Sunshine Group Holdings Limited on the Stock Exchange has been suspended since 1 April 2025 and will remain halted until the company satisfies all resumption requirements and fully complies with the Listing Rules.
