CKH Holdings Subsidiaries Sell UK Power Network Stakes for Over HK$110 Billion

CKH Holdings group companies saw collective gains in Hong Kong trading. At the time of writing, CK ASSET (01113) rose 3.9% to HK$48.46, while CKH HOLDINGS (00001) advanced 2.34% to HK$63.45. CKI HOLDINGS (01038) increased 1.79% to HK$65.25, and POWER ASSETS (00006) climbed 1.63% to HK$62.30. The rally follows announcements that three CKH Holdings subsidiaries will sell their stakes in UK Power Networks to French utility company Engie, generating proceeds exceeding HK$110 billion. According to a February 26 filing by CKH HOLDINGS, CKI HOLDINGS, POWER ASSETS, and CK ASSET will sell their respective 40%, 40%, and 20% interests in UK Power Networks to Engie for approximately HK$44.3 billion, HK$44.3 billion, and HK$22.15 billion. The three companies stated that the divestment will yield significant accounting gains and provide cash proceeds for future investments and acquisitions.
