Apple Drives Record Revenue for LG Innotek in First Half

LG Innotek, the electronics components arm of South Korea's LG Group, reported on Friday that revenue from Apple reached a historic high for the first half of the year.

For the period from January to June, the company recorded 8.84 trillion Korean won (approximately $6.24 billion) in sales from a single customer involved in optical modules and packaging. This accounted for over 10% of LG Innotek's total revenue in the first half.

LG Innotek stated that this sales figure represents its highest-ever revenue from a single client during the first six months of a year. While the company did not officially disclose the client's identity, the transaction amount and business structure strongly suggest it is Apple. LG Innotek supplies key components for Apple's iPhone, including camera modules and substrates.
