On the news front, latest data from the China Passenger Car Association showed that national passenger car market retail sales reached 1.995 million units in August 2025, representing a 4.6% year-over-year increase and 8.2% month-over-month growth. Cumulative retail sales for the year reached 14.741 million units, up 9.5% year-over-year.

For new energy vehicles, August retail sales totaled 1.101 million units, marking a 7.5% year-over-year increase and 11.6% month-over-month growth. January-August cumulative retail sales reached 7.556 million units, up 25.8% year-over-year.

Founder Securities noted that with the arrival of the traditional peak selling season, combined with the launch of new models such as the Shangkai H5, Xianjie S9T, and NIO's next-generation ES8, terminal demand is expected to continue recovering. Currently, the automotive sector's dynamic price-to-earnings ratio sits below the 40th percentile of the past five years, providing ample room for valuation recovery and potential expansion alongside sales growth. The firm recommends focusing on leading automakers with strong new product cycles and increasing market share to capitalize on the industry's improving prospects.

Additionally, at 3:48 AM on September 9, Geely Constellation's fifth orbital plane successfully launched 11 satellites in a single mission from waters near Rizhao, Shandong. All 11 satellites entered their designated orbits in normal condition, marking a complete mission success. This follows the fourth orbital satellite launch on August 9, representing two consecutive successful Geely Constellation satellite launches within one month.

Notably, this fifth orbital launch included a "Lynk & Co 900" satellite, marking a new step in Lynk & Co's "integrated heaven-earth mobility ecosystem" strategy. On the evening of September 8, Lynk & Co officially launched its first mid-to-large plug-in hybrid sedan, the Lynk & Co 10 EM-P.
