CCB (00939) Reports Interim Results with Net Profit Attributable to Shareholders of RMB 162.076 Billion, Down 1.37% YoY

CCB (00939) announced its interim results for 2025, reporting operating income of RMB 385.905 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 2.95%. Net interest income reached approximately RMB 286.709 billion, declining 3.16% compared to the same period last year. Net profit attributable to the bank's shareholders totaled approximately RMB 162.076 billion, down 1.37% year-on-year. Earnings per share stood at RMB 0.65.

During the first half of 2025, the group maintained steady and coordinated development of assets and liabilities, with effective and orderly risk management, and operating performance met expectations. The group's total assets reached RMB 44.43 trillion, an increase of 9.52%, with net loans and advances amounting to RMB 26.58 trillion, up 6.13%. Total liabilities stood at RMB 40.85 trillion, rising 9.73%, while deposits totaled RMB 30.47 trillion, increasing 6.11%.

The bank completed the issuance of A-shares to the Ministry of Finance, raising RMB 105 billion in funds. It achieved operating income of RMB 385.905 billion and net profit of RMB 162.638 billion. The annualized average return on assets was 0.77%, the annualized weighted average return on equity reached 10.08%, the cost-to-income ratio was 23.72%, the capital adequacy ratio stood at 19.51%, and the non-performing loan ratio was 1.33%.
