Zhejiang United Investment Holdings Group Limited (Zhejiang United, 08366) released its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report covering the period from 1 May 2025 to 30 April 2026, outlining material progress in emissions control, resource efficiency and human-capital management across its Hong Kong-based slope, foundation and general building operations.
Environmental Performance • Greenhouse gases: Net emissions fell 71.57% year-on-year to 9.60 tCO₂-e, cutting intensity to 0.10 tCO₂-e/m² (2025: 0.34 tCO₂-e/m²). Scope 1 mobile sources accounted for 35.90% of the total, while electricity (Scope 2) contributed 64.10%. • Energy use: Electricity consumption declined to 12,083 kWh, or 121.06 kWh/m², versus 304.70 kWh/m² a year earlier. Company vehicles consumed 1,294.72 litres of gasoline. • Air quality: Emissions from vehicle use totalled 0.97 kg of NOₓ, 0.02 kg of SO₂ and 0.07 kg of particulate matter. • Waste: Construction and demolition waste sent to landfill decreased 48.83% to 2,955.90 tonnes. Office paper use was 233.90 kg, down 13.30%. • Water: Freshwater usage measured 12,046 m³; intensity rose to 446.15 m³ per capita due to the smaller workforce.
Human Capital • Headcount dropped to 27 employees (2025: 62) following project completions; annual turnover surged to 148%. • Training coverage improved to 22% of staff, with average hours per employee more than doubling to 1.99. • Safety: No fatalities were recorded, though lost-time injury days rose to 569 (2025: 198).
Governance and Supply Chain • Four core suppliers and subcontractors were maintained on the approved list; annual on-site audits drive performance oversight. • No breaches of anti-corruption, data-privacy or intellectual-property rules were reported. • Whistle-blowing and conflict-of-interest frameworks remain in place, with no reported cases of fraud or corruption.
Outlook Facing sector-wide pressure to curb environmental impacts, Zhejiang United aims to embed further energy and water conservation measures, expand data collection at construction sites and strengthen stakeholder engagement to support long-term sustainability goals.
