"Every effort is a stroke of luck!" Recently, a nail artist from HAIDILAO shared photos online of her winning the annual nail art championship. Not only did she earn recognition, but she also received a prize of RMB 150,000, drawing widespread praise from netizens.
The champion, Yang Tingting, works at a HAIDILAO branch in Fuzhou, Fujian. With eight years at the company, she has spent five specializing in nail art. Winning the national HAIDILAO Job Championship left her both thrilled and grateful.
On her social media, Yang shares numerous nail designs she creates for customers—ranging from minimalist hand-painted butterflies to playful Hello Kitty and dazzling cat-eye styles. "At HAIDILAO, customers can bring reference images for their manicures. I usually focus on elegant designs, but if time allows, I’ll craft more intricate styles to ensure every guest leaves satisfied," she explained.
Yang initially joined HAIDILAO as a dining service staff member but gradually transitioned to nail artistry due to her skills. "I was self-taught at first, practicing late into the night to master trending designs," she recalled.
Her championship journey began with a store recommendation, followed by victories in district and regional rounds before reaching the national finals. During the final, she was assigned a young dancer as her model. Noticing the cold weather, Yang thoughtfully provided hand warmers and ginger-infused cola before starting the manicure. Collaborating with the client, she chose a delicate floral design that earned high praise from the judging panel—comprised of HAIDILAO regional managers and top store managers.
"Winning was overwhelming—I cried when my name was announced," Yang shared. "This experience has deepened my passion for my work and reinforced my belief that persistence leads to dreams coming true."
