On September 6, Xin Zhilei won the Best Actress award at the 82nd Venice Film Festival for her performance in the film "The Sun Also Rises," becoming the third Chinese actress to receive this honor after Gong Li and Deanie Ip.

Following her victory, numerous actors publicly congratulated Xin Zhilei on social media, including Li Bingbing, Lan Yingying, Zhong Chuxi, Gao Ye, Sun Honglei, Feng Shaofeng, and Donnie Yen, who praised her achievement as a "dream come true" and said she "deserves all the applause." In an interview, Xin Zhilei expressed that she was particularly moved by praise suggesting she had brought honor to her country. In 1992, Gong Li won this award for "The Story of Qiu Ju," and in 2011, Hong Kong actress Deanie Ip received the honor for "A Simple Life." Xin Zhilei now joins them as the third Chinese actress to achieve this distinction.
