CHINA LIT (00772) surged over 4% again, reaching HK$42.34 by the time of writing, with a trading volume of HK$192 million. On October 16, CEO and President Hou Xiaonan announced an upgrade to the "Creative Partner Program" at the 2025 CHINA LIT Creation Conference, marking the company's entry into the comic-drama sector alongside its focus on short dramas.
CHINA LIT unveiled four major initiatives to develop its comic-drama ecosystem: opening access to 100,000 premium IPs, establishing a HK$100 million creation fund, launching the AIGC tool "Comic-Drama Assistant" to enhance adaptation efficiency, and building a full-industry-chain support system. By October 2025, 30 of its comic-drama works had surpassed 10 million views, with titles like *The Great Ming Son-in-Law* and *Invincible Simulation System* exceeding 100 million views.
Additionally, Soy Sauce Animation became the first team to receive investment support from CHINA LIT in this sector. The two parties plan to deepen collaboration, targeting at least 400 comic-drama releases annually over the next three years, with over 200 adapted from CHINA LIT's IPs.
CSC Securities noted that the comic-drama industry chain has formed a complete loop from "IP reserves—adaptation and production—commercial operations." With a clear monetization model similar to short dramas, where ad-driven profits outweigh content costs, the current ROI across platforms reaches 1.8x, indicating strong commercial potential.
Everbright Securities highlighted CHINA LIT as a rare leader in full-industry-chain IP operations, with stable online literature performance and continuous IP incubation. The firm expects profit improvements driven by thriving short dramas, IP derivatives, and future AI-powered comic-drama ventures.
