BIDU-SW (09888) Reports Q2 Results with Net Profit of RMB 7.322 Billion, Up 33% Year-over-Year

BIDU-SW (09888) announced its second quarter 2025 financial results, reporting total revenue of RMB 32.713 billion, down 4% year-over-year. Net profit attributable to Baidu reached RMB 7.322 billion, representing a 33% increase compared to the same period last year. Diluted earnings per American Depositary Share stood at RMB 20.35.

In the second quarter of 2025, Baidu's autonomous ride-hailing service Apollo Go provided over 2.2 million fully autonomous rides, marking a 148% year-over-year increase. As of August 2025, Apollo Go has cumulatively provided over 14 million autonomous ride services to the public.

"In the second quarter, benefiting from our continuously enhanced full-stack AI capabilities and comprehensive end-to-end AI products and solutions, our intelligent cloud business continued to achieve steady revenue growth. This performance helps mitigate short-term pressures in our online marketing business. Meanwhile, we are deepening the AI transformation of Baidu Search to enhance user experience and build a more solid foundation for long-term growth. Based on our leading position in both left-hand and right-hand drive robotaxi markets globally, Apollo Go is accelerating its global expansion while actively exploring new business models," said Robin Li, Co-founder and CEO of Baidu. "We remain focused on new AI areas with the greatest potential for long-term value creation, ensuring our technology and innovation generate the most meaningful and lasting impact."

"In the second quarter, driven primarily by new AI initiatives, Baidu Core's non-online marketing revenue exceeded RMB 10 billion for the first time, growing 34% year-over-year, resulting in a more balanced and diversified revenue structure," said Herman Yu, CFO of Baidu. "We will continue to invest in AI, focusing on driving AI transformation across our entire mobile ecosystem, maintaining healthy growth momentum in intelligent cloud, and accelerating Apollo Go's global expansion.
