In the current surge of technological innovation, providing precise and efficient platform-based services for innovative enterprises has become a key issue in driving industrial upgrading and economic development. On March 17, a visit during the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Meeting explored the Global Health Industry Innovation Center's Proof-of-Concept Platform and the Beijing Scientific and Technological Achievements Transformation Intelligent Service Platform, investigating their unique approaches and innovative practices in supporting the growth of innovative companies.
Bridging the "First Mile" of Technology Transfer Entering the Global Health Industry Innovation Center's Proof-of-Concept Platform located within the Zhongguancun Dongsheng International Science Park, the modern office environment and professional laboratory facilities are immediately impressive. Initiated by the Beijing Industrial Technology Research Institute, this Innovation Center has carried the important mission of bridging the "first mile" of scientific and technological achievements transformation since being approved as one of Beijing's first twelve proof-of-concept platform construction units in 2023.
"Proof-of-concept is a critical link connecting scientific research and product development," explained Wang Jingjing, Director of the Innovation Center. After identifying high-quality projects, the center's primary task is to conduct feasibility assessments and categorization. Professional teams are formed to perform concept validation and feasibility analysis on selected projects, completing scientific classification based on technical characteristics, maturity, and transformation needs to provide targeted follow-up services.
The Innovation Center also offers technical processing and prototype trial production for projects. Through customized proof-of-concept services, it assists projects through the entire process from product definition and R&D design to rapid prototyping, performance testing, and clinical validation, effectively enhancing project maturity.
In the center's exhibition hall, a series of achievements from resident innovation projects—including medical devices and diagnostic technologies—are neatly displayed. These results, starting as initial research ideas, have been carefully nurtured by the Innovation Center and gradually transformed into technology prototypes with potential commercial value.
"We specialize in health and medical hardware R&D, and our biggest concerns are working in isolation and lengthy compliance approvals," said Yang Manshuang, Product Manager at Beijing Xijian Technology Co., Ltd. "The Innovation Center has directly connected us with frontline clinical expert resources, allowing our products to quickly receive feedback and iterate in real medical scenarios. Furthermore, their extensive practical experience in the product registration phase has helped us successfully avoid numerous issues, significantly shortening the time to market."
Beyond proof-of-concept, Wang Jingjing noted that the Innovation Center provides continuous follow-up support and full-chain incubation and acceleration services. It matches projects with resources across multiple dimensions, including space, technology, clinical support, registration certification, industry connections, and capital. Through measures such as incubation, investment, acceleration, and brand empowerment, it promotes the transition of projects from the laboratory to the industry. To date, the center has incubated over 30 companies, with a total project valuation exceeding 9 billion yuan.
Empowering Precise Matching for Technology Transfer with AI Departing from the Innovation Center, the visit proceeded to the Beijing Scientific and Technological Achievements Transformation Intelligent Service Platform. Launched at the Zhongguancun International Technology Transaction Conference during the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Meeting, this platform serves as a core vehicle for Beijing to implement national technology transfer strategic deployments and accelerate the construction of an international scientific and technological innovation center.
Du Xinyu, Chief Digital Officer of Beijing Capital Science & Technology Development Group Co., Ltd. and General Manager of Beijing Shoufazhan Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., explained that the platform adheres to the core principles of "demand orientation, AI-driven, and ecological collaboration." Rooted in Beijing, it radiates influence across the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and connects nationally, aiming to build a "digital hub" for scientific and technological achievements transformation. It forms an ecological system covering the entire chain from "innovation resource aggregation—intelligent precise matching—achievement transformation and implementation," providing practical support for Beijing's innovation reform in technology transfer.
"The platform is centrally supported by 'Xiaoguo AI,' a large language model specialized in the field of scientific and technological achievements transformation," stated Du Xinyu. "Leveraging strong technical R&D, data processing and governance capabilities, and rich data resources, it focuses on key service targets such as government agencies, universities, research institutes, industrial parks, and financial institutions. It precisely addresses the core needs of various entities in the transformation process, building a comprehensive, professional, and intelligent external service system."
In the platform's demonstration hall, the intelligent matching function was experienced firsthand: by simply entering the keyword "brain-computer interface technology achievements," the system quickly filtered relevant scientific achievements and enterprise demands from a massive resource pool and displayed a detailed matching analysis report. This efficient and precise matching method builds a rapid communication bridge between innovative enterprises, research institutions, and investment organizations.
Beyond intelligent matching services, Du Xinyu introduced that the platform also offers comprehensive, one-stop operational services for the entire technology transfer process. Its core services include screening high-quality projects and facilitating their implementation, organizing technology transfer events, and attracting and cultivating technology transfer talent, all to promote the efficient landing of achievements.
Collaborative Platforms Strengthen the Innovation Ecosystem Although the Innovation Center and the transformation platform have different service focuses, both are committed to providing comprehensive, one-stop platform-based services for innovative enterprises. The former concentrates on the early-stage validation and incubation of scientific and technological achievements, helping innovative companies overcome obstacles in the transformation process through professional technical verification and industry resource connections. The latter relies on artificial intelligence technology to achieve precise matching between technological achievements and industrial needs, offering full-process transformation service support.
In fact, there are many such innovation service platforms in Beijing. Some are industry-education integration innovation consortia leveraging university resources; others are industrial cooperation platforms focused on smart manufacturing or the internet. Thanks to their complementary roles and collaborative efforts, these platforms collectively construct an innovation ecosystem covering the entire chain of scientific and technological achievements transformation.
On the journey of technological innovation, various service platforms are providing innovative enterprises with wings for rapid ascent through their unique models and professional service capabilities. They help accelerate the conversion of scientific and technological achievements into real productive forces, leading Beijing's and the nation's scientific and technological innovation efforts to new heights and breakthroughs.
