Third Day of National Day and Mid-Autumn Holiday: Guangzhou Railway Plans to Add 152 Passenger Trains

On October 3rd, Guangzhou Railway Group announced that since the launch of the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday transportation period, passenger travel demand has been robust, with railway passenger flow surging rapidly and maintaining high-level operations.

During the first two days of the holiday, Guangzhou Railway transported 6.445 million passengers, with an average daily volume of 3.223 million passengers. Today, the railway expects to transport 2.593 million passengers, including 1.474 million passengers in Guangdong Province, 603,000 passengers in Hunan Province, and 91,000 passengers in Hainan Province.

To enhance passenger travel services, Guangzhou Railway continues to optimize and adjust its transportation capacity plan. The company has scheduled 3,260 passenger trains for the day, including 152 additional passenger trains, primarily serving popular routes from Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other regions to Hunan, Chaoshan and other destinations.

Guangzhou Railway also plans to operate 9 additional overnight high-speed trains on October 3rd.
