IRICO Group New Energy released its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report, detailing year-on-year improvements in resource efficiency, a strong safety record and expanded community engagement initiatives.
Environmental Performance • Greenhouse-gas emissions totalled 1.12 million tonnes of CO₂, equivalent to 47.63 tonnes per 10,000 sq m of photovoltaic (PV) glass produced. Major airborne pollutants were held to 12.90 tonnes of dust, 191.67 tonnes of SO₂ and 355.28 tonnes of NOₓ, all within national limits. • Power consumption fell 6.70% to 584.69 million kWh, outpacing the 3.95% drop in output; electricity intensity improved 2.87% to 2.49 kWh per sq m. • Natural-gas use declined 9.07% to 264.73 million m³, reducing unit consumption 3.77% to 1.13 m³ per sq m. • Water withdrawal dropped 5.83% to 2.69 million tonnes, while water intensity slipped 0.39% to 114.59 tonnes per 10,000 sq m. • Wooden-packaging demand was cut 60.61% to 2,197.25 tonnes as iron-frame recycling expanded. • Waste-heat power generation reached 67.70 million kWh and rooftop PV systems contributed 15.98 million kWh, both used internally.
Environmental Governance All production sites operate under ISO 14001:2015 certification, backed by online flue-gas monitoring and third-party audits. No environmental incidents were recorded during the year.
Workforce and Safety • Headcount stood at 2,088, with women representing 24.28% of staff and 33.62% of managers. • The company delivered 270 training sessions totalling 2,404.2 hours, reaching 100% of employees. • For the third consecutive year, IRICO recorded zero work-related fatalities, injuries or lost-time accidents.
Supply Chain and Product Quality The group managed 129 domestic suppliers through digitalised bidding and annual ESG appraisals. All PV glass undergoes full lifecycle quality checks; no product recalls or material customer complaints occurred in 2025. The company maintains GB/T19001- and 3C-certified production.
Governance and Integrity Anti-corruption frameworks—including gift registration, bidding supervision and whistle-blower channels—were reinforced through regular training on CPC disciplinary rules. No legal cases involving bribery or graft were reported.
Community Engagement Employee welfare programmes paid RMB0.53 million in supplementary medical reimbursements, distributed RMB28,000 in hardship aid and purchased nearly RMB0.70 million in rural revitalisation products. Cultural activities such as reading campaigns, sports events and traditional-festival workshops supported staff cohesion.
IRICO Group New Energy states that continued process upgrades and clean-energy initiatives will underpin its drive for lower emissions and higher operational efficiency in the coming years.
