Hong Kong Regulator Flags High Ownership Concentration in Century United Holdings

The Securities and Futures Commission recently conducted an inquiry into the shareholding distribution of Century United Holdings (01959). Results revealed that as of March 2, 2026, 20 shareholders collectively held 101 million shares of the company, representing 19.10% of its issued share capital. Combined with the 377 million shares held by the company's major shareholders, which accounted for 71.21% of the issued share capital, the total represented 90.31% of the company's issued shares. Consequently, only 51.344 million shares, or 9.69% of the issued share capital, were held by other shareholders. The closing price of the company's shares surged from HKD 0.215 on October 2, 2025, to HKD 3.11 on March 2, 2026, marking a 13.5-fold increase. By March 16, 2026, the share price closed at HKD 4.46, reflecting a 19.7-fold rise compared to the closing price of HKD 0.215 on October 2, 2025.
