Deep News
Oct 11

On October 11th, financial frontline news reported that according to CCB's WeChat official account today, on October 10th, the Central Depository & Clearing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CCDC") and the National Interbank Funding Center (hereinafter referred to as "NIFC") jointly launched the centralized bond lending business. On the first day of launch, market institutions actively participated, with the bond lending pool scale exceeding 1.3 trillion yuan. China Construction Bank Corporation completed the market's first batch of centralized bond lending transactions, with its pool contribution ranking among the top in the market.

The centralized bond lending business is an automatic bond lending service in the interbank bond market. Bond lenders voluntarily establish available bond pools. When bond borrowers face insufficient bonds payable on settlement dates, they initiate centralized bond lending instructions through NIFC's domestic currency trading platform. CCDC automatically completes matching within the lending pool, facilitates bond lending, and provides collateral management and settlement services. This helps enhance bond market liquidity and improve settlement service efficiency. The business fully leverages the integrated synergy advantages of CCDC and NIFC, representing an important business innovation in this year's interbank bond market. As a bond lender, CCB further enriches its investment strategies by participating in the centralized bond lending business, revitalizes existing bond assets, and enhances bond utilization efficiency.

CCB stated that moving forward, it will actively implement regulatory requirements, support the construction of modern financial infrastructure and bond market reform and development, facilitate diversified market trading models, optimize financial services, promote product innovation, and contribute CCB's strength to the high-quality development of financial markets.
