HAICHANG HLDG Surges Over 15% in Early Trading Amid Reports of Investment Talks

HAICHANG HLDG (02255) rose more than 15% in early trading. As of press time, the stock was up 6.82% to HK$0.47, with a turnover of HK$127 million. Market reports on May 20 indicated that Ming Z. Mei, co-founder and CEO of GLP Pte. Ltd., is considering an investment in HAICHANG HLDG. According to sources familiar with the matter, Mei's family office is working with advisors to formulate a potential plan, which may also involve collaboration with other investors. Discussions are ongoing, and a transaction may not be finalized. Previously, HAICHANG HLDG released its annual results for the period ending December 31, 2025. The group reported revenue of RMB 1.549 billion, a decrease of 14.8% year-on-year and nearly halved compared to the 2019 peak. The loss attributable to shareholders was RMB 956 million, widening by 29.22% year-on-year.
