China United Airlines Tops 2025 Airline Complaint Blacklist on Hei Mao Platform for Arbitrary Changes to "Fly-As-You-Please" Terms and Refusal of Refunds

Ahead of the annual International Consumer Rights Day, aimed at boosting consumer confidence and fostering a collaborative approach to consumer protection, Sina Finance, in partnership with the consumer complaint platform Hei Mao, has launched a 2026 consumer rights protection campaign.

The consumer complaint platform Hei Mao recently released its 2025 airline industry red and blacklist rankings. China United Airlines was placed on the blacklist due to a zero response rate to consumer complaints. On the Hei Mao platform, disputes involving China United Airlines primarily revolve around flight ticket refunds and changes, ambiguous product rules, and price fluctuations. Consumers often face difficulties when purchasing tickets from the airline, encountering issues such as excessively high change and cancellation fees, refusal to refund mistakenly purchased tickets within 24 hours, misleading terms related to blind box or "Fly-As-You-Please" products, and significant price drops shortly after ticket purchase.

Hei Mao advises that the complaints against China United Airlines highlight persistent issues within the airline industry and third-party platforms, including opaque rules and arbitrary enforcement. When purchasing tickets, consumers are recommended to prioritize official airline channels, confirm refund and change policies before payment, and take screenshots as evidence. If faced with high fees, refusal to refund mistaken purchases, or misleading terms, consumers should immediately submit a complete set of evidence—including order numbers, policy screenshots, and customer service conversations—through the Hei Mao platform. Simultaneously, filing a complaint with the Civil Aviation Administration via 12326 can create dual pressure and significantly improve resolution efficiency.
