At Xiaomi's autumn new product launch event this evening, the company unveiled the 18 Pro series, consisting of the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. The lineup arrives in four colorways: Star River Blue, Ice Peach Pink, plus the classic black and white options.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro debuts the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Supreme Edition chipset, while the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is the first to feature the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Supreme Edition. Both models are equipped with Xiaomi's new-generation Jinshajiang battery, incorporating a 32% silicon content, with the Pro Max packing an 8,500mAh cell and the Pro upgrading to a 7,000mAh battery. The devices also include an ultra-wideband Cyber motor, triple-speaker stereo sound, UWB ultra-wideband connectivity, and IP66/68/69 dust and water resistance ratings.
The 18 Pro series features a new Super Pixel display built on the M11 luminescent system with an advanced green light-emitting material, delivering a peak brightness of 4,000 nits. It incorporates hardware-level intelligent privacy shielding, allowing users to customize privacy application settings, and supports Super Xiao AI personalized anti-peeping rules. A customizable AI key provides one-touch global privacy protection.
Photography is handled by a full-focal-length Leica optical triple-camera system, headlined by a 200-megapixel Leica main sensor with a 1/1.28-inch large format and ultra-high dynamic range. A 200-megapixel Leica telephoto lens features a 1/1.56-inch sensor with substantially improved light intake and supports macro shooting from as close as 12cm, complemented by a 50-megapixel Leica ultra-wide camera. The series also pioneers the Legend Moment large-model imaging system, offering three classic camera styles that recreate authentic optical quality.
The highlight feature, the AI adaptive rear display, launches with over 100 rear-screen application cards and supports AI-generated custom designs. Current engagement metrics show 3.97 million daily active users on the Smart Rear Screen, 138 million monthly uses of the Rear Screen Assistant, and 497 million monthly rear-screen wallpaper additions. Over the past year, the rear display has received seven updates, introducing 42 new features.
All models run Xiaomi HyperOS 4, powered by the MiMo large model, which enables the Super Xiao AI 2.0 assistant to perform one-touch memory recall, autonomous reasoning, and complex task execution. The series offers seamless interoperability with Apple's ecosystem, including cross-device unlocking, message synchronization, and cloud photo album sharing, plus quick file transfers with iPhone via a simple tap. New Apple Watch connectivity also allows syncing and viewing of fitness and health data.
Pricing starts at 5,999 yuan for the Xiaomi 18 Pro, with a national subsidy bringing the out-of-pocket price down to 5,499 yuan. The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is priced from 6,999 yuan, and a transparent special edition of the 18 Pro series is also available, starting at 9,999 yuan.
