U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs posted robust gains on August 7, recording a combined net inflow of nearly $500 million. Bitcoin ETFs attracted $278 million, led by BlackRock’s IBIT with $157 million, while Ethereum ETFs saw $222 million in net inflows, extending their streak to three consecutive days.
Ethereum Foundation Executive Director Tomasz K. Stańczak urged the community to focus on possible delays in the Fusaka upgrade, slated for Q4 2025. While noting the upcoming Glamsterdam upgrade in 2026 may attract attention, Stańczak stressed that consistent delivery on deadlines is critical to Ethereum’s roadmap credibility and called for broader consensus on the importance of sticking to timelines.

Ripple Labs and the US SEC have officially ended their nearly four-year legal fight, marking one of the most closely watched cases in crypto history. The move sent XRP up more than 13% following the announcement.
On Thursday, both parties filed a joint notice with the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, stating they would voluntarily withdraw their respective appeals.
The SEC dropped its challenge to a 2023 ruling that found Ripple’s XRP token was not a security when sold on public exchanges. Ripple, in turn, withdrew its cross-appeal. Each side agreed to cover its own legal costs.
The overall net inflow of the US Bitcoin spot ETF on Thursday was $280.69 million. The total net asset value of Bitcoin spot ETFs is $150.97 billion, and the ETF net asset ratio (market value compared to total Bitcoin market value) is 6.47%.

The Bitcoin spot ETF with the highest net inflow on Aug 7 was iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF, with a net inflow of $156.64 million. Followed by Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund, with a net inflow of 43.45 million, according to SoSoValue.
