Chalco (2600.HK) Releases 2025 Third Quarter Results

Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (Chalco) has published its 2025 third quarter financial report, showing revenue of RMB 60.12 billion for the quarter, a 4.66% decrease year-on-year. For the first three quarters of 2025, total revenue stood at RMB 176.52 billion, a 1.57% rise year-on-year.

During the third quarter, total profit jumped by 64.76% year-on-year to RMB 7.53 billion. Net profit attributable to shareholders surged 90.31% to RMB 3.80 billion, partly driven by increased production and sales volumes alongside focused cost controls. From January to September, net profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB 10.87 billion, a 20.65% increase over the same period last year.

Production and sales of major products showed growth in the first three quarters. Metallurgical-grade alumina output rose to 13.04 million tonnes, representing a 3.74% year-on-year increase, while primary aluminum output climbed 6.76% to 6.00 million tonnes. The coal segment recorded a 1.13% rise in output, and external power generation reached 128 billion kWh, up 7.56% over the prior-year period.

The report also notes that the controlling shareholder and its related parties have incrementally increased their shareholdings in Chalco during the period, reflecting continued confidence in the company’s operational and market outlook.
