On the news front, CLSA recently raised CATL's H-share target price by 25.2% from HK$535 to HK$670. The firm engaged with the company during CATL's World Energy Storage Conference in 2025, noting that both electric vehicle and energy storage system (ESS) production are operating at full capacity with strong demand, particularly in overseas ESS markets. Consequently, CLSA raised its earnings per share forecasts for 2026 and 2027 by 9%, primarily benefiting from a 10% upward revision in battery shipment projections.
According to reports from multiple industry sources, CATL plans to launch new 8-series high-nickel batteries next year, which will be equipped in extended-range vehicle models from leading new energy vehicle manufacturers.
Additionally, on September 25, Chery Automotive listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. CATL maintains its leading position in the power battery and energy storage battery sectors and serves as one of Chery Automotive's power battery suppliers.
