The material he referenced came from a user recap titled "Turtle-Speed Revelation." According to that post, on November 4 local time, U.S. Representative Yassamin Ansari (Arizona) wrote on social media: "Democrats need to put a moratorium on advanced AI development on day one, regulate a runaway industry, and ban artificial superintelligence." The referenced post said the message was published less than 24 hours after the Democratic Party regained control of both the House and Senate in the midterm elections. The following day, Elon Musk replied, "It's a Brave New World," invoking the title of Aldous Huxley's dystopian novel. Duan did not elaborate further beyond his brief remark.
