ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES' stock soared 5.67% during intraday trading on Tuesday, following the release of its fourth-quarter financial results.
The significant price movement was driven by the company's strong quarterly performance, which showed a 20.8% year-over-year revenue increase to NT$6.52 billion, driven by a surge in demand for high-value memory solutions, particularly for datacenter and artificial intelligence applications. Net earnings for the quarter also saw substantial growth, rising to US$15.9 million from US$7.4 million in the same period last year.
The company's robust financial position was further highlighted by a strong cash and cash equivalents balance of US$473.7 million, supporting investor confidence in its financial stability and future prospects.
