On March 2, financial authorities imposed a penalty of 600,000 yuan on the Foshan branch of China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd. The penalty was issued by the Foshan regulatory office of the National Financial Regulatory Administration due to inadequate "three checks" in personal business loans and insufficient monitoring of funds related to acquisition loans. In addition, individuals Lin Haoran and Lu Yingtian received warnings for their roles in the same violations concerning the mismanagement of personal business loans and acquisition loan fund supervision.
