Hong Kong lithium battery stocks maintained their upward momentum, with Ganfeng Lithium climbing more than 5%. CATL saw gains exceeding 4% in both its Hong Kong and A-share listings, with both reaching all-time highs. Tianqi Lithium advanced over 3%.
According to Lin Jiani, an analyst at GF Futures, as solid-state batteries gradually enter mass production, lithium carbonate demand will experience structural differentiation. The demand for high-purity lithium products may increase, while the overall lithium market will gradually adjust as solid-state battery capacity is released. From a long-term perspective, if solid-state battery technology achieves large-scale commercialization, it will drive overall lithium demand higher. Additionally, advances in battery recycling technology will promote the circular utilization of lithium resources, forming a supplement to primary lithium supply.
