On Monday, shares of Propetro Holding Corp. (PUMP.US) rose sharply, gaining over 15% to $7.285 at the time of writing. The surge followed the company's announcement that its PROPWR business unit has signed a long-term power supply agreement with a large hyperscale cloud data center operator in the U.S. Midwest.

Under the agreement, Propetro will provide 60 megawatts of electricity to the data center through a hybrid power solution combining natural gas generators and battery storage systems. This marks a significant commercial partnership with a top-tier data infrastructure operator and is seen as a key milestone in the company's strategic transformation.

The contract includes provisions for capacity expansion and term extensions, allowing future scaling based on the client's growing energy demands. Deployment and operations for the project are expected to commence in Q2 2026.

Travis Simmering, President of PROPWR, stated, "This agreement demonstrates our commitment to delivering cutting-edge, highly reliable energy solutions for the development of data center infrastructure."
