The Shandong Provincial Market Supervision Bureau has recently published the 2025 provincial supervision sampling results for low-voltage switchgear product quality.
A total of 25 batches of low-voltage switchgear products from the production stage were sampled in the second batch of provincial supervision sampling for 2025. The inspection was conducted based on standards including GB/T 7251.1-2023 "Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies—Part 1: General rules," GB/T 7251.2-2023 "Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies—Part 2: Power switchgear and controlgear assemblies," and GB/T 7251.3-2017 "Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies—Part 3: Distribution boards intended to be operated by ordinary persons (DBO)." Key inspection items included protection level, electrical clearance and creepage distance, verification of insulation material resistance to abnormal heat and fire caused by internal electrical effects, temperature rise verification, and electric shock protection and protective circuit integrity.
The sampling revealed that two batches of products from two manufacturers—Shandong Yijiu Electric Development Co., Ltd. and Zibo Fengshuo Electric Co., Ltd.—failed to meet the relevant standards. The non-compliant items were temperature rise verification, electric shock protection, and protective circuit integrity.
The Shandong Provincial Market Supervision Administration has instructed relevant authorities to handle the non-compliant results in accordance with the "Product Quality Law of the People's Republic of China," the "Interim Measures for the Administration of Product Quality Supervision and Sampling," and other relevant regulations.
Low-voltage switchgear is widely used in industrial, commercial, and residential applications, providing power distribution while ensuring safety through protection, measurement, and control functions. Consumers are advised to: 1. Check for certification marks (CCC) and verify product information on the national certification platform. 2. Ensure proper installation and usage, including regular maintenance and dust cleaning. 3. For residential distribution boxes, test the leakage protection function monthly by pressing the test button (marked "T").
Attachments include detailed lists of non-compliant and compliant products from the sampling.
