China Construction Bank (CCB) released its Capital Management Pillar III Third Quarter Report 2025, outlining key prudential indicators, risk-weighted assets, leverage ratios, and liquidity metrics. The report confirms that all indicators met regulatory requirements as of September 30, 2025.
CCB’s major metrics showed steady capital positions. The Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) capital reached RMB 3,437,715 million, and total capital stood at RMB 4,607,363 million. Meanwhile, total risk-weighted assets (RWA) increased to RMB 23,943,962 million. The bank's capital adequacy ratios remained robust: the CET1 ratio was 14.36%, the Tier 1 ratio was 15.19%, and the total capital ratio was 19.24%.
In terms of loss-absorbing capacity, CCB reported a Total Loss-Absorbing Capacity (TLAC) of RMB 5,255,962 million. The TLAC ratio to RWA was 21.95%, meeting relevant regulatory standards.
The report noted that credit risk dominated risk-weighted assets. Credit risk, including counterparty credit risk and related items, totaled RMB 21,733,928 million in RWA. Market risk accounted for RMB 392,524 million, and operational risk remained at RMB 1,744,419 million.
The bank’s leverage ratio stood at 7.64%, surpassing the minimum regulatory requirement. Adjusted on-balance sheet assets after provisions and regulatory adjustments were RMB 43,790,798 million, supported by derivative and off-balance sheet exposures converted into on-balance sheet equivalents.
Liquidity indicators also remained strong. The average daily Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) in the third quarter was 132.40%, indicating sufficient high-quality liquid assets to cover net cash outflows. The Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR) stood at 131.56%, reflecting a stable funding structure that met applicable guidelines.
