On September 5, during the opening ceremony of the 15th Smart China Expo, the 2025 Top 100 Electronic Information Competitiveness Companies list was released, with six Ningbo enterprises successfully making the rankings. They are:
Ningbo Joyson Electronic Corp (29th place), Sunny Optical Group Co., Ltd. (39th place), Orient Rising New Energy Co., Ltd. (59th place), Ningbo Ronbay New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (72nd place), Ningbo Deye Technology Co., Ltd. (78th place), and Ningbo Orient Cable Co., Ltd. (93rd place).
The electronic information industry serves as a crucial foundation for driving innovation and development in the artificial intelligence sector. Ningbo's listed companies are all "leading geese" in China's electronic information manufacturing industry, possessing strong capabilities in sectors including Internet of Vehicles, new energy, optoelectronics, new materials, and high-end equipment.
Among them, Joyson Electronics improved its ranking by 2 positions, Sunny Optical Group advanced 8 positions, while Deye Technology and Orient Cable are both new entrants to the list this year, ranking 78th and 93rd respectively.
In recent years, Joyson Electronics has successively developed new products including cockpit human-machine interaction systems, 5G intelligent connectivity, 800V systems, and driver monitoring systems, securing substantial orders in these fields. As one of the world's first suppliers of 800V high-voltage fast charging products, Joyson Electronics has made "charging for 10 minutes, driving 800 kilometers" a reality. The company has also launched intelligent driving domain control products covering L2 to L4 levels, making "future mobility" more intelligent and convenient. According to the latest financial report, in the first half of this year, Joyson Electronics achieved operating revenue of approximately 30.347 billion yuan, up 12.07% year-on-year, with total profit reaching 1.247 billion yuan.
Sunny Optical Group is a globally leading comprehensive optical components and products manufacturer. Its automotive lens market share has ranked first globally for consecutive years, while its mobile phone lenses and camera module market shares also hold the global top position. Currently, Sunny Optical Group is actively exploring ways to break through traditional optical design bottlenecks through light physics and quantum properties at sub-wavelength scales, while advancing into metaverse and robotics sectors. Sunny Optical's subsidiary, Sunny Optical Automotive, has expanded beyond traditional camera technology to include layouts in LiDAR, head-up display equipment, and intelligent headlights. Last year, Sunny Optical Group achieved revenue of 31.68 billion yuan with profits of 1.15 billion yuan.
Deye Technology has comprehensively covered energy storage, string, and micro-inverter product matrices, making it one of the rare inverter companies in the industry to achieve synergistic growth across all three product categories. Among these, residential and small commercial energy storage inverters have become Deye Technology's flagship products. According to the latest financial report, in the first half of this year, Deye Technology achieved operating revenue of 5.535 billion yuan, up 16.58% year-on-year, with net profit attributable to shareholders reaching 1.522 billion yuan, up 23.18% year-on-year.
Facing technical blockades in deep-sea cable technology in recent years, Orient Cable has invested over 1 billion yuan in R&D expenses in less than four years, successfully overcoming ultra-high voltage flexible DC technology and winning the world's first 500kV offshore wind project. Its 66kV rated voltage wet environmental array submarine cable achieved a breakthrough from zero in high-end wet submarine cables, successfully supporting China's first million-kilowatt offshore wind power project. Its lead-free structural design reduces production energy consumption and further strengthens marine ecological protection. According to the latest financial report, in the first half of this year, Orient Cable achieved operating revenue of 4.432 billion yuan, up 8.95% year-on-year.
Orient Rising focuses on R&D, production, and sales of solar cell modules, while also covering photovoltaic power station EPC, photovoltaic power station operations, and energy storage sectors. Solar cell module business serves as the company's core foundation. Ronbay New Energy Technology, as a globally leading power battery cathode material manufacturer, holds over 12% of the global ternary market share and has maintained the global top position for four consecutive years. Both companies are currently in an industry transformation period, with rankings declining accordingly.
Zhou Zixue, Executive Vice President of China Electronics Industry Association, praised Ningbo's electronic information industry development, noting that in recent years, Ningbo, as a pioneering city, has positioned the digital economy as an important strategic direction for cultivating new quality productive forces, actively fostering the development of trillion-level digital industry clusters, and forming core competitiveness in key characteristic sectors of electronic information industries including integrated circuits, optical electronics, automotive electronics, and intelligent electronic products.
